About 1800 meters above sea level there is a small area of virgin forest. Within it there are some ancient tea trees. This raw (sheng) puerh tea is made from the leaves of these ancient tea trees. Unlike other young sheng puerh tea, it doesn’t have a strong bitter taste, and possess a soft texture with sweet mellow aftertaste.
Break the tea cake and take 7 - 8 grams of the tea (roughly two teaspoons). Rinse the tea with hot boiled water. Use Gaiwan or Western style of brewing.
